- Limit the Amount of Time You Wear Earbuds – Follow the 60/60 rule. Limit the volume to 60% of the maximum and limit the amount of time you listen to 60 minutes.

- Use Apps to Track Noise Exposure – There are several apps available on smartphones that you can use to monitor noise levels in real time. These apps are not always completely accurate, however, they are still a valuable way to make you more aware of the noises you are exposed to.
