I am honored that you have found me and that you have chosen to learn more about hearing wellness and how I may be able to help you.
I am originally from Madison Heights and a lifelong resident of Southeast Michigan. When I began my college career, I changed my mind several times then spent one summer following a terrific local Neurootologist. He introduced me to audiology and I was hooked! I graduated with my Bachelor of Arts degree (Magna Cum Laude) in Communication Disorders and Sciences from Wayne State University in Detroit.
I then received a graduate scholarship and obtained my Master of Science degree in Audiology, also from Wayne State University, in 1994. Since then, I have worked in a variety of settings including ENT, private practices, and hospitals. I have received numerous awards including several ACE (Award for Continuing Education) awards and being listed in The Hearing Review as ‘BEST OF HEARING HEALTHCARE PROFESSIONALS’. In 2011, I was voted a regional winner in Rayovac’s annual Hearing Professional of the Year (HPOY) award and in 2012, I was chosen as the national HPOY! I believe in spending extra time with my patients, getting to know their lifestyle and needs so I can help them on their journey to better hearing.
The rewards I get in helping someone hear better have made my career a privilege and a joy, not a job. I attend numerous local, regional and national trainings to ensure that I am up-to-date on the most current trends in the hearing healthcare field. My primary areas of interest are hearing aid technology, aural rehabilitation and tinnitus management. I currently live in Capac with my husband, Charlie. I have 3 daughters and 2 darling granddaughters, Molly and Lucy. Outside of work I enjoy spending time with my family, working in my vegetable garden, reading, and target shooting.
Please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions you may have.
Yours in Better Hearing,
Angie Lederman, MS, CCC-A
Audiologist
Hello, I have an Associate of Applied Science in Computers, am certified as an Audiology Assistant and recently became a hearing aid trainee. I have an extensive background in manufacturing processes, product development and field service, most recently working with audiometric equipment- like the equipment we currently use in our office.
In addition to front desk duties, I also test the hearing aids and see patients, helping them on their journey to better hearing.
I have worn a hearing aid since I was 19, so I bring a unique perspective to working with patients. In my free time I enjoy tinkering around in my pole barn and spending time with my granddaughters.
I am a graduate of Carnegie School of Troy with a medical billing and coding certificate. Though most of my jobs in the past have been in the service industry, I also had about 3 years of experience with billing before deciding to switch paths and come work at Hear Now.
Outside of work I enjoy cooking, spending time with my fiancé or being out in the woods at my cottage. I am very excited to refine my skills that I have gathered and become a part of Angie's amazing team.
As Patient Care Coordinator, you will find me at the front desk with a smile or talk to me when you call our office with any questions. I worked in the hearing industry with Angie years ago and after having children, moving states and coming back to Michigan, I am excited to be a part of Angie's team once again. I take pride in making our patients feel as comfortable and cared for as possible.
Outside of work I enjoy spending time with my two boys, playing outside and taking our dog for walks around the neighborhood. I love the beach, traveling with my family and making memories with my kids.
In my time at Hear Now I have bounced around from patient care coordination, to helping run our social media, to insurance and billing and more. I am very excited to finally step into my role as a full time administrator and biller here at the office. I enjoy working behind the scenes to ensure our patients have nothing short of an amazing experience in our office and get the care that they need. I plan to keep moving forward and take on new roles as our office continues to grow!
I am lover of music, nature, great coffee and all humans. When I am not in the office, I’m traveling abroad, trying out a new karaoke spot or enjoying the fresh air.
I am happy to have the opportunity to not only do behind the scenes work at Hear Now to keep the office running smoothly and have hearing aids ready for delivery, but to interact with everyone through social media. Taking photos and videos of the office and patients, especially those who win our contests, is one of my favorite parts of the week.
Although my chosen career path is Environmental Science, it is inspiring to work at a place that makes a difference in the world through hearing by providing patients with quality care. I hope to spend a lifetime making the world a better place.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time outdoors with my dog and family.
