ReSound Sensia uses intelligent automatic processing to focus on the person you're facing, helping you follow conversations in busy environments.

ReSound Sensia is GN Hearing's new premium hearing aid family, designed to solve a common frustration with AI-powered hearing aids: emphasizing the wrong voice, or even mistaking background music for the sound you want to hear. Sensia builds on the technology of ReSound Vivia and adds new automatic processing, all while keeping Vivia's very small size and all-day battery life. The result is a hearing aid that helps "lift" the conversation you are trying to follow, rather than locking onto the loudest voice in the room.
Sensia's automatic sound system, called Intelligent All-Around, relies on a simple, natural cue: people generally look toward the person they want to hear. It combines three technologies. AcoustIQ classifies your sound environment and decides which features to use, a four-microphone beamformer shared between both ears gives preference to speech in front of you, and deep neural network (DNN) denoising, a form of AI trained on speech, reduces competing voices and distractions around your conversation partner.
Sensia still preserves lower-frequency sound from around you, so you keep your natural sense of where sounds are coming from.
Sensia is available in rechargeable microRIE, size 312 and 13 RIE, rechargeable ITC and ITE, wireless ITC, and a non-wireless CIC. The full automatic Intelligent All-Around system is included in the Sensia 9 microRIE. Sensia 7 offers DNN processing through a manually selected hearing-in-noise program, while custom models use Clear Focus directional processing without DNN denoising at launch.
The right technology level and style depend on your hearing, your ears, and your daily listening needs. At Hear Now Audiology & Tinnitus Center, Angie Lederman, M.S.
